Telco Networks are intuitively and tangibly among the most complex and heterogeneous systems to be analyzed with the aim at defining the overall Energy Efficiency Level as much as the single node’s Energy Performance Status. Nevertheless, Ouvert has cumulated a whole specific experience in modeling and benchmarking Tlc/ICT Networks’. Moreover, Ouvert has designed INSITE to provide TELCO OPERATORS all means to merge the QUALITY OF SERVICE SUPERVISION (QoS) and the OPERATION & MAINTENANCE (O&M) with the ENERGY PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT.

The definition of the ENERGY MODEL for a specific Network is the way thanks to which to each node and to the whole system can be assigned its ENERGY EFFICIENCY INDEX (EEI) which uniquely identifies the related energy performance behavior.
Throughout the latest decade, Ouvert Research and development Team has consolidated a methodology and a powerful automation layer to manage the impressive amount of data owned by Telco Operators and only partially utilized to define the Energy Efficiency Index of their Networks.
Generally, estimated nodes consumptions are based on:
- average over historical consumptions (when available);
- sum of the power ratings of the equipments in the node.
INSITE introduces TELCO Ops to an unlimited ability to massively exploit data, translate trends and energy models into actions and reach a whole new level of accuracy in the energy budget forecasting and the validation of the efficiency campaigns results.
